With article number S9-B02 the Andrea company has a wonderful metal bust of a German Soldier in stock.

At a flea market I found this item to a reasonable price. But the paintwork was beneath content. After removing the whole cover of old paint, I reworked the bust, as I wanted to change it into a Waffen SS soldier from the "LAH" Division.

I made new schoulder badges and straps with the initials of this unit out of lead foil. The chin strap was relocated to the upper side of the rim of the helmet.

Paintwork was done by means of acrylic Sand Yellow and several oil colours. For the rest of the uniform I used Tamiya acrylics again. A wooden base added some personal touch...
